Black seed oil, also known as habba sawda or Nigella sativa oil, is an oil extracted from the seeds of the Nigella sativa plant. This plant is native to parts of Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Black seed oil has been used for centuries because of its supposed health benefits.
The oil has a rich composition of nutrients, including essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It also contains a substance called thymoquinone, which is considered one of the oil's main active ingredients.
